Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Alumni Setu, the official alumni network platform of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, then you may not access the service.

Eligibility

To use Alumni Setu, you must:

Be a current or former student, faculty member, or staff of Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak
Be at least 18 years of age
Provide accurate and complete registration information
Maintain the security of your account credentials
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

User Accounts

Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
You must provide accurate and up-to-date information in your profile

Prohibited Activities

You agree not to:

Use the platform for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
Impersonate any person or entity or falsely state your affiliation
Upload, post, or transmit any content that is harmful, offensive, or violates others' rights
Spam, harass, or abuse other users
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform or other users' accounts
Use automated systems to access the platform without permission
Interfere with or disrupt the platform's security or functionality

Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of any content you post, upload, or share on the platform. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content on the platform for the purpose of providing our services.

Platform Content

All content on Alumni Setu, including text, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of Maharshi Dayanand University or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Donations and Payments

When making donations or payments through the platform:

All donations are final and non-refundable unless otherwise stated
You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of payment information
We use secure payment processors to handle transactions
Donations are processed on behalf of Maharshi Dayanand University
You will receive a receipt for all transactions

Privacy

Your use of Alumni Setu is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for:

Violation of these Terms of Service
Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
Misrepresentation of your identity or affiliation
Extended periods of inactivity

You may also terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in your profile settings.

Disclaimers

Alumni Setu is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

The platform will be available at all times or free from errors
The information provided by users is accurate or complete
The platform will meet your specific requirements
Any defects will be corrected

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Maharshi Dayanand University and Alumni Setu shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the platform.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days notice prior to any new terms taking effect. Your continued use of the platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
